SMS Consent & Opt-In Disclosure
Last updated: March 2026 · Contact: support@opbot.io
1. Overview
OpBot is a SaaS platform for online coaches and consultants. When a coach publishes a funnel, leads (prospective clients) can fill out an application form on the coach's funnel page. During form submission, leads may opt in to receive SMS messages from the coach's business. This page documents the exact consent collection mechanism, the types of messages sent, message frequency, and how recipients can opt out.
2. How SMS Consent Is Collected
Consent is collected on the coach's application form page (URL pattern: opbot.io/c/{business}/{funnel}/apply). The form collects the lead's name, email, phone number, and answers to qualifying questions. Below the phone number field, an unchecked SMS consent checkbox appears with the following disclosure text:

By submitting this application, you consent to being contacted via phone, email, or SMS regarding your application. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Privacy Policy & Terms.
- The checkbox is not pre-checked — the user must actively check it to opt in.
- If the checkbox is left unchecked, no SMS messages are sent to that lead.
- The checkbox only appears after the user enters a phone number.
- Consent records are stored with timestamp, IP address, user agent, and method (
form_checkbox). - An immutable consent audit log is maintained for TCPA 5-year retention compliance.
3. Types of SMS Messages Sent
Once a lead has opted in, they may receive the following automated SMS messages:
- Booking Confirmation — sent immediately after the lead books a call. Includes business name, CTIA-required disclosures, and opt-out instructions.
- 24-Hour Reminder — sent 24 hours before the scheduled call.
- 1-Hour Reminder — sent 1 hour before the scheduled call.
- Post-Call Follow-Up — sent after a completed call to check in.
- Nurture Check-Ins — up to 3 follow-up messages spaced over days/weeks for leads who haven't booked or who need further engagement.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the lead's interaction with the coach's funnel. A typical lead receives up to 10 messages per month. All messages are sent only during quiet hours (8:00 AM — 9:00 PM in the coach's timezone) in compliance with TCPA regulations.

6. How to Opt Out
Recipients can opt out at any time by replying with any of the following keywords:
STOP · QUIT · END · CANCEL · UNSUBSCRIBE · STOPALL · OPTOUT · REVOKE
Upon receiving an opt-out keyword, the system immediately flags the lead as unsubscribed and no further SMS messages are sent. An immutable record of the opt-out is stored in the consent audit log. Recipients can re-subscribe by replying START or YES.
